Event bookings & attendance

All customers booking and/or attending events of the Tasting Glass event must be at least 18 years old.  The Tasting Glass reserves the right to request identification from anyone at any time and to refuse service if not satisfied that the customer is over 18 years of age.

The Tasting Glass is absolutely committed to the Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA). We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone who we feel is inebriated or would cause us to contravene our responsibilities under RSA.

 

Payments

Payments are accepted in AUD only

We do however welcome international cards, and will apply no surcharge for paying with an international card.

 

Booking conditions

 

Online

Bookings are completed when an online booking form has been completed, payment has been received and a receipt has been sent both from our booking system and online payment gateway.

Please note, if you have not received a booking and payment receipt then the booking has not been completed. Please Contact Us.

 

Telephone

A telephone booking is completed when an automated booking form is sent to you by email confirming your booking.

 

Attendees at public events agree

a) The alcohol consumed by attendees at these events is sold to you by the licensee of the premises.

b) Your payment for attending the event will include the supply of wine and you appoint The Tasting Glass as your agent to arrange for the supply of the wine by the licensee to you at our events.

Attendees at corporate & private events agree

a) The wine supplied to, and consumed by attendees at these events is owned by the host of the venue.

b) Your payment for attending the event will include the supply of wine

c) You appoint The Tasting Glass as your agent to arrange for the supply of wine by the host to The Tasting Glass at our events.

Hosts of corporate & private events agree

a) The wine provided at a private event will be owned by you as the host, and you appoint us as your agent to obtain delivery of the wine to your venue.

b) The welfare of persons at the event is the responsibility of the host. Persons attending the event are to be covered by the relevant insurances of the host and venue (including Public Liability Insurance).  

General

a) At all our events our staff have obtained their Responsible Service of Alcohol Certification and we will also provide you with complimentary food and water as part of your attendance and participation.

b) As set out in our Terms and Conditions above, the wine can only be supplied to persons over the age of 18. We reserve our right to require satisfactory evidence of proof of age and if not provided we reserve the right to prevent any attendee from participating in the event at which time a full refund will be provided to that person. 

 

Right to refuse entry

We reserve the right to refuse entry or attendance at one of our events at any time and for any reason.

In the event that you are refused entry or attendance, you will be given a full refund, so long as you were not refused entry or attendance for being inebriated or for inappropriate behaviour.

 

Cancellations, Changes and Refunds

Please note that we have a strict cancellation, change and refund policy that will be applied.

If you are unable to attend an event you may request a full refund, or credit towards the attendance of another event provided at least 7 days notice is given.

Cancellations, changes and refunds within a 3 day period will be subject to the following terms:

If, for any reason, The Tasting Glass cancels an event, you will be given a full refund.

 

Gift Vouchers

Gift vouchers are only valid for the amount specified on the voucher and will expire on the date specified on the voucher or 12 months from the date of issue, whichever is earlier. Gift vouchers are only valid for event bookings and cannot be exchanged for goods or cash.

 

Payment Card Industry (PCI) compliance

We do not store any payment information electronically, and all electronic transactions are handled through third parties. Please see the third party website for more information about payment security.

 

All Tasting Glass bookings are encrypted with a minimum 128 bit SSL security.

 

Photography and Video at our event

As part of the running of our events we may take photographs or videos which may include footage of event attendees. These photographs or videos may be used by us for marketing purposes including publication on our website. By making a booking with The Tasting Glass, you consent to us taking photographs or videos during the event. Should you not wish for your image to appear in either a photograph or video please let us know before, during, or after the event.

 

Availability of website

The Tasting Glass will not be liable if this web site is unavailable to users or potential users due to any events caused by us, whether negligent or not; or any events beyond our control, including but not limited to, server downtime attributable to malfunction, upgrades or preventative or remedial maintenance activities, or any other reason whatsoever.

 

Copyright and Trade Marks

Unless otherwise provided, all copyright and trade marks in the material on this web site are owned by or licensed to us. No part of this web site may be modified or reproduced by any process without our written permission.

 

Liability and Indemnity  

The Tasting Glass is not liable for any loss, damages (including consequential loss and damage), costs or any liability to any attendee of any event as a result of any injury or personal consequences arising from the attendee’s presence at an event except as provided below.

For loss, damage or liability which cannot be excluded by a law of Australia, the Tasting Glass excludes its liability to the extent possible, and where such loss, or damage or liability cannot be excluded by a law of Australia, is limited, at the option of the Tasting Glass, to:

(a) in the case of goods:

  1. the cost of replacing the goods;
  2. the cost of obtaining equivalent goods; or
  3. the cost of having the goods repaired;

(b) in the case of services:

  1. the supplying of the services again;
  2. the cost of having the services supplied again.

 

You, as the host of an event, indemnify and at all times will keep The Tasting Glass, together with its employees, representatives and agents, indemnified from and against any and all loss, damage or cost incurred or suffered by The Tasting Glass arising out of or connected with the attendees’ presence, level of intoxication and/or behaviour at the Event.

 

GST

GST applies to the purchase of services from this Site and will be charged at the time of purchase.

 

Applicable Law

These Terms shall be construed in accordance with and governed by the laws of New South Wales. You consent to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in New South Wales to determine any matter or dispute which arises between us.

 

Changes to Terms & Conditions

From time to time it may be necessary for us to review our Terms & Conditions.

We reserve the right to alter this policy at any time and notify you of any changes by amending the published terms on this website.
